Giedo gets fitted for Renault F1 seat

World Series by Renault champion Giedo van der Garde has been fitted for his F1 car seat at the ING Renault F1 Team headquaters in Enstone, England. Giedo is invited for official testing for the team at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona on the 17th and 18th of November next week. The fitting of the seat specifically for the individual driver is part of the standard preparation for any driver during testing.

Giedo was impressed by the ING Renault F1 Team factory. Renault was world champion in 2005 and 2006 seasons and won two races in the 2008 F1 Championship. “It was really impressive to walk around the Renault factory,” he said. “The fitting of the seat went well, however the car is very tight due to my leg length. But the fact that it happened in a Grand Prix winning car made it really special. I can’t wait to go to Barcelona next week to show the team what I am capable of.”
