Wet race brings Giedo fifth place
At Magny-Cours Giedo van der Garde finished the first race in fifth position. In terrible conditions he managed to bring the Victory Engineering car to the finish line.

“I had a great set-up for my car at this track but we didn't believe it was going to rain as hard as it did,” said Giedo. “If we would have known this we would have placed our car higher so we would have less aqua planning. I believe things went pretty good, even though it was a realy tough race in extreme conditions. I even spun twice! I'm glad though I finished in fifth position. Let's hope tomorrow will bring us even more.”
