Giedo van der Garde has finished Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix in second place. In the wet streets of Monaco the Dutchman kept his head cool and did not take any risks. Thanks to his second place Van der Garde extends his lead in the World Series by Renault championship.
Van der Garde: “A second place in Monaco is a good result really. We score the points we need to extend the lead in the championship and that is all that matters. It was actually a bit of a boring race. We started the race behind the safety car and also finished the race behind the safety car. I tried to overtake Charles (Pic) once but it was quiet a risk. I didn’t want to risk my second place so I brought the car home savely.
